We believe children learn best when play and learning sit side by side. Our teachers plan daily lessons and activities that use the HighScope Curriculum, a nationally recognized approach, so children are doing and thinking at the same time. We aim to provide exceptional child care and early childhood education in a safe, developmentally inclusive environment. That mission shapes how we set up rooms, greet families, and plan each day.
In the rooms, teachers use the HighScope Curriculum to blend play and learning into daily lessons and activity plans. Our staff bring experience to the work, and our owner and director is involved day to day. We keep the setting unique, cozy, and personal rather than large and institutional. Children from infants through Pre-K spend their days in spaces planned for their age and stage.
What you notice in practice
Teachers get down at eye level and listen. They use the HighScope Curriculum to build daily lessons and activity plans around what children are already interested in. Play and learning are balanced, not separated. Staff bring experience to the room, and our owner and director stays involved. Small moments of attention are the work.
Rooms are set up so children can reach what they need and choose what to do next. The day moves between active play, quieter table work, and group time, paced to the ages in the room. Materials sit at child height. We keep the setting cozy and personal rather than busy and loud. Teachers plan the next activity from what they saw that morning.
How we work with families
At pickup, we want you to hear something specific about your child's day, not just that it was fine. Our owner and director is on site, so questions have a place to land. We plan to team up with parents as a support system for each child. If you need to talk through a worry, we would rather you call or stop in than wonder quietly.
Starting a new center is a big change for a child and for you. We take the first weeks at your child's pace, with extra check-ins and clear communication between home and the classroom. You can ask us anytime how your child is settling in. We want you to feel like a partner here, not a visitor.
